So over the past 2 months of this system (in sig) I have done some somewhat extensive overclocking. As basically I got this build upto a solid 3.8ghz on water. Ran Prime95 for extensive processor testing. And basically all was running fine up until about a month ago. I started getting random freezes, but my processor was around 45degrees max and the gpu's at around 50 each also. These freezes only happen while playing cs 1.6 and source. (Which is all I play pretty much) I reset my WHOLE sytem to stock. 2.4ghz Q6600 and the stock clock on the gpu's. Anyone got any suggestions?

Are you OCing your RAM. If so, unOC it :)

Also, are your GPU coolers nice and clean?

Switch texture filtering to clamp, defrag game files from within steam, try running rivatuner hardware monitor in the background to see if your volts are stable and gpus aren't throttling.

I read something the other night about nVidia chipsets, overclocking and data corruption...maybe you are experiencing this?

ah, found it:
http://www.xbitlabs.com/news/chipsets/display/20080417103525_Nvidia_s_Latest_Core_Logic_Causes_D ata_Corruption_During_Overclocking_Company.html

"Earlier customers blamed previous-generation Nvidia’s core-logic sets for data corruption under the same circumstances."

Would re-installing the o/s fix this data corruption? That would be much simpler to try than sending in RMA's.

Yeah except im rolling with an EVGA 780i motherboard. But I found out the problem!! It turns out even though I stress tested my vid cards the overclock was too high, and after gaming for around 20 minutes, they would overheat and crash my system. My processor can take well over 3.6-4.4ghz due to my water cooling. Lets just see how it goes!! :captnkill:
