Hi I am wondering if any one can plz help me. My current video card is an ATI radeon x1600 256mb PCIe and I am thinking about upgradeing it to an 8600GT PCIe card. So my question is will the 8600GT PCIe run PC games alot better than my x1600? When it comes to PC gaming I really dont care about the eye candy I just care about running the game. All so dose it matter how much video memory the card has.

Thanks for reading

An 8600GT would give you a good boost in performance, for sure.

What are the rest of your system specs?

My PC specs are as followed: Intel Pentium 4 3.06Ghrz processor with HT 2gig DDR2 ram and Creative Labs Soundblaster Audigy 4 sound card. Later on in the year I can upgrade to a duo core without changing my motherboard so I will be doing that some time this year.

Ok I am going to be getting this card http://www.umart.com.au/newindex2.phtml?bid=5 is that card preety good to at least run most of todays games at the medium setting? I so hope that card will fix the movie sequences in Command and Conquer 3 Tiberium wars.
