I don't think you need an 8800gtS 512mb in order for stereo to work. I believe that the 174.76(newest stereo release) drivers support the 9800-series of cards, but they're only for Vista 32-bit(which is a bit weird since most gamers use Vista 64-bit). I could try adding your card to the inf of older drivers to see if that would work, if you want me to?

The driver extrapolates stereo sound from the games graphics and applies a complicated algorithm to generate low monotone notes that makes it sound like your PC is farting or itís a way of playing games in Stereoscopic 3D with shutter glasses or special monitors or projectors.

So it's useless if you don't have 3D/spectrum glasses?
