Custom designed Phase Cooling by Jin

My plans for the first version of this build was to have a WaterKeg Extreme that I could add on later for Water Cooling but he is not making any units at this time. So I came up with this, basically a chopped down TJ07 to sit right next to the main unit. This was going to be added on after the build was complete and Phase Cooling all installed.

This was version #1

I like the looks of that :)

But after talking with my Phase Builder we came up with another “Cool” design.

This is version #2

That’s 2 TJ07’s side by side. Can you guess what will be installed in the second TJ07 ?

At first I had thought about a MM cube mod but I like the TJ07’s a lot so we came up with that.

I had free time on my hands this weekend so I decided to start building this and going with a Stock HS setup while I wait for the Phase Cooler. A few issues popped up. First was the power cable for the 8 pin CPU power plug, it was too short. So I rotated the PSU and it does fit now, but not the way I want so looking for an extension for that cable.

The Stock HS was a real pain to install on this motherboard but finally got it installed. So I finally go to power it up and nothing…. After over an hour checking and rechecking everything I find that the power switch on the TJ07 is not working :(

So hitting the power switch on the motherboard works just fine but impossible to reach with the second 9800GX2 installed. I preceded to move along with 1 9800GX2 until I can get that switch replaced.

Now getting all the updates ready and will install those later.
Much work to do so I keep getting called away.

Nice! I can't imagine trying to move that though.

Have you thought about 4 of the new raptors to go with that for storage?
Ultimate can back them up to the 1tb in case of fail
Nice! I can't imagine trying to move that though.
Maybe replace the feet with gold castors ;)

Actually I have been trying to think about what to use the extra SATA slots on the Raid card for. 4 or more will be SSD's in the end.

Finally got an update on the cooling for this unit.

This is the case that will house the cooling stuff, still work to do on it.

And the SS and Chiller that will go inside.
Top will be the Chiller unit, bottom will be the SS.

Front pannels and back pannels are being made now that will have temp readouts and contols mounted.

A stiffener, U shapped, is also being made so the case does not flex around to much.
