I WILL be watching every game of this series. The two most consistent teams in the NBA battling it out. THIS will be one exciting series.

Go Hornets! Go MVP Chris Paul! :D

Is it me or did they completley roll over the Mavs like they weren't even there. The mavs looked weak while the Hornets looked strong.

As long as the Mavs have Dirt Noshowerski they have ZERO hopes at winning a championship.

The Hornets have been solid as hell this entire year. They had VERY few games they dropped the ball on. Even though the Hornets really don't have Star players(other than Chris Paul...MVP), the consistency of this team is downright scary.

I totally agree with this. I don't know why everybody treat dirk like he's the next Larry Bird, but he's a blah player at best.

San Antonio in 5... at first glance.

I'll check the season series between the two.

well, not blah, he's above average imo, and an allstar, but nowhere close to lebron or kobe.

Dirk's pretty good actually.

I blame the coach, he had no answer for the Hornets pick and rolls, much like the Suns v/s the pick n roll for the Sprus.

Dirk has consistently put up numbers in his career even as he had to deal with the loss of several players the last few seasons, starting with Nash.

He may not have the "thug" mentality some people are asking for but, after so many failures against lesser teams, the onus was squarely on the shoulders of Avery and hence he's gone. Dirk may be gone too, just depends what Cuban wants.
