View Full Version : New demo
There's a new demo up on my site. It should run on R9500+ and GFFX, though it seams current ATi drivers has some problems. Hopefully GFFX users have more luck.
Anyway, it shows a nice shiny glowing gold effect.

Thanx Man. :D
Tho it's crashing on me.
Is there something I need to download to make it run?
U make some great SS's. :D
No, you shouldn't need to download anything more, it should run as it is. Does it give you any messages, or does it just crash immediately?

It brings up a dialogue box with a big red X and it just says "Error." Nothing more. Methinks you got some kinks in your code that need to be worked out.

Hmm. ATi's drivers at least reported what it wasn't happy with. Just "Error" doesn't help me much, though I assume it's a similar problem (too many temporaries in the shader).
Phew, panic over! I thought that was stike 1 for Nvidia...
:D :p
I have a glow effect on my site that should run on GF1 upwards..

I believe Humus has a 9700 Pro, but was using drivers later than those officially released by Ati to us mere mortals... ;)

Nice! :)
Yeah, I suppose I could make this thing run on Radeon 7x00/GF1 and up if I wanted to. Should be solvable with multipass, and I don't need as much blur as I have applied either.

cat 3.3 should fix this problem.

Yes, there is a problem. You don't have any glow on that pic. Anyway, cat 3.3 should fix this.

Why this is I have no clue ... I guess there's a driver bug. Cause as it seams now the GFFX happily accepts the shaders and everything and I fixed a simple bug yesterday, but glow's still gone.

yeah it may be a bug, but can you work harder? at least i see things glow very nicely in splinter cell on FX :)

Without a GFFX card to test on I can't do anything right now.

Or you could just say the 'next' drivers will fix it!
Well I watched it using nv30 emulation, and no glow either. Although I only waited long enuff for the 1st frame. :)

Well, there are leaked 3.3's for which it works. Either way, as GlowStick said, "next driver".
