I wasn't really sure where this should be posted, so I chose here. I just tried to play a new movie DVD "Flightplan" by Touchstone Pictures on Windows Media Player 10 on MCE 2005, which I just purchased at WalMart, and it said that it wouldn't be able to play the movie because of a problem with copyright protection.

I then played it with PowerDVD without any problems. Is this problem in the DVD or WMP? If the latter, is there something that I can do to fix it?

I just tried another new DVD "The Hunt For Red October", and had exactly the same results. Obviously the problem is with WMP...how do I fix it?

By using a pirated copy that circumvents all this anti-piracy stuff, obviously.

The only thing that is obvious is that you didn't read my posts.

try getting some codec's. like k-lite or something. that always fixes problems.

I tried that just now, but it changed nothing. I used the default installation, because I wasn't sure about anything different.

Since Cyberlink's PowerDVD works, I don't need another player, I just wanted to fix WMP.
