The AoC servers are in NJ.
Does anyone get this mini in game crashes? Where it pauses then says that an error occurred in your client and a crash log is being sent in the background? The client doesn't actually crash, you can continue playing.

I think Set is in US? I have the US version of the game....all international version (ie non US and non EU m,ybe even Oceana) has to connect to a US server. Or am I just talking out of me arse?
Pfft! I guess it is me that has no clue. LOL! Try and connect this weekend. Just make a toon on Omm and I'll be on Saturday. I'm going to the movies this evening so I won't be on.
You sure? My ping is only in the 50s when playing and thats awsome. I know I use to play on a west coast EQ and WoW servers and they would always be 100+.
I think last night it was my connection. I was getting internet DCs all evening so I just gave up. My speed was in the dumps.
Guys i just hit lvl 40 & finally got to try out my mammoth, BUT how do i use the mount to fight\attack? hitting my normal attack keys just makes me shoot my bow when mounted?!
Also whats the best thing to do about the combos? my current 6 combo key binds are are already fixed to 4,5,6 ect as default, what about when i get a lot more combos? whats the best thing to do?

well i finally got my new pc from Dell and set it up tonight, and wow does Age of Conan look awesome!!!!
it is like a new game to me now.
took me a while to learn Vista, i know sounds silly...but i am use to linux and XP

It is best to make a macro for the combos. Get a keyboard that can input macros.
BTW the game is much more stable from Thursday's patch. Oh imagine that, it actually was the game and not the computer.....

You will get you mount attacks when you buy your riding skill which is 1g.
It is best to make a macro for the combos. Get a keyboard that can input macros.

I am level 17 in Tortage in Omn now, barbarian..they have no magic? No healing spells??? hm

Nope they are pure melee.
Ahh right, thanks for that. :)
Btw, it's a bug and you only need basic riding for horses.
Next patch you'll get those abilities when you use /claim (probably tomorrow).

Also food and potion modifiers FTW! :)
But, I canot get some combos to work..no matter what weapon I try it with hmm.

I am a barbarian too, only level 10 atm, did not have much time today with fathers day and all
but i had the same problem, with my two handed combos, i had two try several different two handed weapons until i found one that worked it was really strange
I tell you though i really love the barbarian and his combos

Ok, So I have put in 20 hours or so into the game now so heres my impressions of the game as of now.
It's probably the best MMO on the market right now. I have not been so hooked in a MMO since the original Everquest. I love the atmosphere and the lore behind the game. They really followed it all well without screwing up anything related to conan.
The combat mechanics in the game are amazing, it's what DDO should have been. This is the best combat system in any MMO right now. I don't know how group combat is yet but that is my worry right now, it could be too chaotic for some of the heavy combo based classes.
They took alot of things from other MMOs and improved them. It's easy to get into and yet has alot of depth. Yeah there are problems with the game (agro system is totally ****ed) but they can be cleaned up as the game gets older. I can really see myself playing this game for a long time as long as they don't mess with anything. I don't want to see port spells or anything silly that doesn't belong in the conan lore.
Over all, top notch MMO.

Not really, its based on threat level. As a level 67 Dark Templar, I can keep agro on multiple mobs, you just need to be doing damage with high taunt and high hate gear.

Not the agro I ment, I ment the ability to pull mobs. I can dance infront of a mob and for some reason a mob 5 miles away attacks me insted of the one 5 feet away. It's also not possible to single pull from what I have seen and if you did manage to pull a single out of a group it was a fluke thanks to the retarded agro system.
Hide is also broken with the whole visibility in light crap. I have been able to sneak better in sunlight then in some dungeons or even at night... and I have max points in hide for my lvl.

You are a barbarian so some combos are for two handed weapons and other combos are for two one handers. Stay away from dual wielding, you do not get any stuns. In fact do not put any dual wielding abilities on your hot bar.
Stay with two handed weapons, you will use your stuns a lot.

Hide is kinda messed up. Most the time I can't get close enough to get the surprise crit. Some times the mob is by a rock with shade and I can make but but for the most part it is useless.

Hide works really well in some dungeons, in the undercity in Tortuga I was able to sneak attack most enemies just fine. In the cellar in the Wild Lands it was hard to sneak attack even though it was darker then the undercity... Think the shade detection is broken...

really not even worth switching at all ? at what point does dual wielding become viable?

Yeah magus said it. Although I am not sure if the damage is more. I am guessing it is but for questing, stay with 2 handers. Stun has kept me alive many times. In a raid situation stun won't be as important because most bosses in MMOs are resistant or immune to stun.
