On the radio station I listen to, Jeanie Buss is on twice a week. They asked her if she was going to the Stern press conference on Wed and she said she was. They tried to press her as to why and she just laughed and tried to change the subject. I think, even though not official, Kobe has won it.

That was said, among other things...She is a pretty damn honest interview...She said Phil hates the "in game" interviews and complains that the Nationally Televised games are too long...LOL..."Does he wake up with a pissed off attidued?" - Laugh "Yeah...he dreams about the game all night and often wakes up in a bad mood" (paraphrasing)...

In a traditional sense no. MVP is about being on a top ranking team more than it is about a players performance. Lebron does more for his team than anyone in the league. However, since he is on the worst team in the NBA, obviously he'll never win.

In my opinion, Kobe or Chris Paul deserved the MVP award this year because of what it represents(being on a good team). However, Lebron is by far the most valuable player in the league. Just my .02 cents.

The Jazz have no answer for Kobe. He was guarded by every Jizz on the floor and they bumped and bodied him, and played good D, but if he doesn't score he can still dish.

The pass he just made to Gasol for a dunk under the basket was one of the best assists I've ever seen. He went through two defenders through the legs and then spinning, got another defender in the air, and passed around that defender's body perfectly into Gasol's raised hands for a dunk.

The guy is better than any other player in the league by a good margin.

And he's an asshole, like Tygerwoody.

hey KG won in Minnesota. I think Kobe is much better than Lebron. Kobe is skilled in all aspects of his game, defense,passing,shooting,post up,he has that killer instinct. Lebron is just not there yet, still so young.You'll notice for game-winners he usually tries to take it in the hole, where he scores most his points. No confidence in his jumper. When he develops his shot, then we'll see how good he is.

LeBron was 2/18 the other day. TWO FOR FREAKIN EIGHTEEN. Did you see Kobe or Jordan having BS games like that in the PLAYOFFS nonetheless? He a very athletic player who is very good, but for someone who is supposed to replace Michael Jordan as the greatest of all time - that's an absolute joke.

edit - oh yeah, he also had 10 turnovers. He almost scored a quadruple double if you count turnovers lol.
