Looks really great to me, I want a MP4 format so I can watch/show off the video on my PS3.

I tried converting gamevideo's MOV but it didn't convert right for some reason.

Also the Resistance 2 video looked good considering it was one of the most ****tily compressed videos I've ever seen.

My bad...I should have known something was wrong with my original statement.

Looks great, but it certainly won't live up to those graphics when released. Looking forward to it! :)

I was using an all in one tool called SUPER. Works great for all the other videos I've converted one way or another. It's free to use as well.

The video is a AVC1 within a MOV file, and it's odd somehow Super kept the MOV container even when I told it to go to MP4.

[edit : just one more note to everyone, unless the time of day in the game changes, what we're seeing is probably just extremely nice use of light mapping. That's why people said Half Life 2 looked so great for years. There's effects there you can't do in real time today without lightmaps (basically the sunlight is reflecting off surfaces and taking that color and reflecting it onto other surfaces, like radiosity or raytracing).

It look slike that free running stuff that they did in Casino Royale and District 13...pretty cool stuff in the movies

There's aliasing in this video, so it probably is direct footage of how it looks on PS3 right now. PC version will be even cleaner in higher res, AA, AF of course.

Love the style and the FPS genre sure needs something different. Graphics look great and to be honest I don't see why the PS3 wouldn't be capable of that. I expect the PC version to be a load of tosh.

Well that explains a lot! :D The texture filtering on the consoles is just outright horrible, so there's absolutely no way that could be from the console version.

Uhh, 360 and PS3 can do AF just fine too, check out the PS3 version of Oblivion for example.

Either way, if this was a PC video they probably would have cranked up the AA. Also notice the view moving around like a thumb stick, very rigid.

[edit : after another look at the video, could even be negative LOD, with the way the textures look it wouldn't cause much artifacting and of course would be way cheaper than any AF at all.]

Since it was shown at the Sony event I think its going to be the PS3 version... dout sony would like them showing off another systems capabilities.

Love the vibrant art style. Really cool blues, whites and reds. I thought it was funny how the trailer showed him/her shooting while falling where he would have clearly shot himself in the leg if that had really happened.

I wouldn't put it past them to do that stuff sometimes, but like I said, it really does look like a console version.

People are just amazed at how good it looks, but what's really amazing is they made a game that looks this good that could probably be scaled down to work on Wii without TOO much problems.

[edit : just to elaborate, scale down all the textures to a blurry mess, drop the resolution, reduce the lightmaps significantly, take out about half the buildings, and some of the other objects, of course scale down the character graphics too, take away some of the special effects. Basically what I'm saying is this game is almost a higher resolution Half Life 2...]

A game with first person free running sounds awesome. :)

the only thing that i seen that slightly bugged me there was how everything that you could interact with was bright red. i assume its is to assist the player to tell what they can and cant use in the game world, but a little "on my nerves"

I think the objects only turn red once you lock onto them... so you know you wont miss them when jumping. We all hate jumping towards a rope and having it slip right between out fingers because the game didn't detect that we were properly align.

The trailer looked really good. But when I watched it I was thinking this really should be from a over the shoulder type view. From the first person view, I think will make the game much harder because you'll probably overlook or mis-time jumps.

Yeah that looks really cool...I'll keep an eye on this one. :D

They might be able to do some camera tricks like they used in Metroid Prime(where the camera points slightly downward when you jump). It was pretty easy to jump in that game and there were a few platforming sections.
