yeah so im thinking of new disks

4x 500gb 2-3x 750gb samsung
and a Antec Ninehundred case

so can one raid 4disks or is 3 the limit?

i have a ASUS P5B-Deluxe Wifi/Ap

so can this be done and is it better with 4x500 vs 2x 750gb or perhaps 2x1TB?

Can't answer the raid question but the Atec 900 will really lower your case temperatures. That monster top fan really pull out the heat.

I think that the optimal drive arrangement is up to you, since that MB has 6 internal SATA slots and the chipset provides for dual SATA controllers. It would be a matter of deciding what provided the best security for the dollar, if cost is a factor for you. If not, then a couple of triple 75GB sets would be the way to go. The bigger question would be deciding upon which raid configuration that you wanted. Here is an article that might help you decide:

i am thinking ANtec niehundred or one of the Cosmos chassis/cases i have a pretty big heavy Cjieftec right now nad i know the Cosmos case are large and heavy but also better ventilation than mine now
since i have a 8800U i am not sure it will be a good card in a ninehundred as it is rather long?
