I have been experiencing some lock ups with the new beta drivers for vistax64. It's the 175.16 drivers. Suddenly the screen starts to flash, and it locks up. OR i get a BSOD with a well know nvidia dll file.
So i tried reverting back to 169.25. I uninstall normally, click no on reboot, run the driversweeper, delete c:/nvidia folder. Reboot, resolution is borked as it should be. So i run the install for 169.25, reboot. And when i get back in, i open the control panel i get this:

As you can see, it just won't install the old files. Even though the control panel is identical to the 169,25 one.

Am i being a noob? Or is just vista having fun with me?
