Surprise surprise it use Geforce 9800GTX cooler!!! :eek:

Maybe GT200 is very effective chip.

It's not surprising. How much more effective can they get their coolers without expanding into another slot?

Are you expecting power usage of gpu's to go down for some reason? Stick with igp's then.

What happened to all the crying that radeon chips needed too much power? :rolleyes:

It looked like they slapped an x2 cooler on a normal chipset as a half ass solution, they could do better IMO. They have a smaller process than they did with the 8800, why do they need a bigger cooler?

Power requirements should go down. Intel makes faster chips yet they use less power.
Nvidia did say they were going to work on this because its becoming a big problem.

It's the exact same cooler the 9800GTX has, and is very similar to the "new" 8800GTSs. I don't particularly find it attractive, but not sure I'd call it ugly either.

To each their own I suppose.

Looks a lot better than what we have had in the 6/7/early 8 series days IMO.

this must be a cool running chip....lets hope the perf is great.

Who cares how it looks? Do you people prefer it looks great and performs like crap? After all, just change the cooler if you don't like the looks. Performance is what matters...

yeah true. but still, i hate that spaceship design EGHHH lol... the 9800gx2 grill-plate cooler design is the future!

It's exactly like the G92 GTS cooler only larger. Looks pretty crap but oh well it's not like i got a window or anything so doesn't matter.
