Assassin's Creed 1.02 is now available for download. This patch includes the following fixes:
* Fixed a rare crash while riding the horse in Kingdom
* Fixed a corruption of Altair's robe on certain graphics hardware
* Cursor is now centered when accessing the Map
* Fixed a few problems with Alt-Tab
* Fixed a graphical bug in the final fight
* Fixed a few graphical problems with dead bodies
* Fixed pixellation with post-FX enabled on certain graphics hardware
* Fixed a small bug in the DNA Menu that would cause the image to disappear if the arrow was clicked rapidly
* Fixed some graphical corruption in Present Room with low Level Of Detail
* Character input is now cancelled if the controller is unplugged while moving
* Added support for x64 versions of Windows
* Fixed broken post-effects on DirectX 10.1 enabled cards

Nice. Downloading and installing now. Hopfully this fixes the pixelation effect as it says.

Added support for x64 versions of Windows

i wonder what do they mean by that, it was running perfectly fine on 64bit vista. maybe a seperate 64bit exe?

well i looked and i have not found a 64bit exe and when i alt tab out and check the process manager it says 32bit exe....plays great at 1600x1200 maxed out all settings but i cant get multisamling to not be greyed out and i cant get it to run fullscreen got black bar on bottom and top for some reson

Multisampling only shows up at certain resolutions for whatever reason (mostly widescreen resolutions). Running at a 4:3 or 4:5 resolution results in black bars due to it being natively widescreen.

Haven't noticed any bugs prior to this patch, and don't notice anything out of the ordinary afterwards. No performance increase, nada. The redraw around the sides is pretty heinous though. Most noticeable when you're on the horse and going full speed.

My XBOX360 Controller is using the vibration function now, though.

Maybe it's the driver I'm using though (175.16) in DX10. Will have to try it with the nekrosoft13 certified drivers. :p

Edit: Wow, it's really bad with the patch. I was walking towards a building with a merchant stall in front of it, and the redraw on the shadow is really bad. :(

Edit again:
Just tried it again with different drivers, and it is a patch issue. I wasn't getting this annoying shadow problem prior to installing the patch. Happening in both DX9 and DX10. Oh, and alt-tab is borked for me this time around. Before it was fine, but now it just runs the game in a window instead of sticking it in the takskbar. Lame.

The pixelation is gone but a few bugs I noticed:

Also sometimes in battles sound is missing
Also noticed weird interaction of enemies with objects but not sure it wasn't there before
