Bad Memory

I finally set-up my PC to do some memory testing with Memtest86.

I started testing some of the memory I got laying around, and most of it passed all the tests.

I got 2 sticks of 512mb that have errors on some of the tests.

Yet, when I put them in a system, it boots up and seems to run OK.

What does this mean?

Are these sticks really good, or does it mean the system my crash using them?

I don't know about crashing, but I believe that it might cause some corruption of data. It might not be noticeable immediately, but accumulate until it is. I wouldn't use those sticks...can't you RMA them?
