Russia just defeated Canada in the world hockey championship being held in eastern canada. Canada was up 4-2 going into the 3rd period. Thrashers sniper Ilya Kovalchuk scored both the winning and tieing goals. Russian team was loaded with firepower having Ovechkin, Semin, Fedorov, as well as stars from the Russian Super League. On to 2010 :D
