Will it be slower than on an Nvidia board?
Or will it perform the same on a P35 as it will on a 7\680i for example?

Tough call, but as nvidia boards support SLI natively, I think the 680/780i may have a slight advantage.

It should not make any real world difference.

As it has a intergrated SLI bridge should make little diffrence.

Shouldn't make big issues..if there are any difference...it will be related to the chipset/motherboard/etc...and not the gpu.

No difference running a single 9800GTX9800GX2 on a P35/P38/P48 board or running a single 3870x2/3870 on a 680i/780i/790i nvidia board. Your not running sli or xfire (two individual cards). Its apples and oranges. You should not suffer any performance lost at all.

It should. It has on-board SLI.

The sli/xfire tech is on the cards. No need for the motherboard to have it if only one card is being used.
