Hi all,
I have a GeForce 8600 GT (SLI) and I'm running Windows XP SP3.
I am currently running a dual monitor setup with an old Apple Cinema Display (23") and a Viewsonic 22". I obviously have SLI turned off for this purpose, and it works well.
Here's my question:
I am considering getting a Samsung 305T 30" display. I understand this display is dual-link DVI. See http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824001098 for details on the Samsung.
I would like to know if my GeForce 8600 GT will be able to handle the Samsung 305T 30" display at its native 2560x1600 resolution AND still maintain the Viewsonic 22" at it's native 1680x1050 resolution. I want to still have my dual monitor setup but just replace my Apple Cinema Display with the Samsung 30".
The dual-link DVI thing confused me a bit, and I'm unsure if the 30" running at 2560x1600 would somehow limit my ability to have dual monitor setups all on the GeForce 8600 GT (w/SLI disabled).
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks a lot.
