I thought it looked really cool, like a turned down version of vista,

I really don’t see what’s stopping people from use vista (ok, so I couldn’t find drivers for my printer and wi-fi card but....)

other than the lack of legacy driver support its very good. my mam got herself windows Ult 64bit and she loves it, The new search feature is great and I don’t know about xp but the way it does full and differential backups rock!

Here’s a question for yeh folks,

Q) If XP supported DX10 would you have upgraded to vista.

my answer

A) no. but I don’t think there is anything wrong with Vista. Its like the second child in any family, You love them but there never as good as the first.

32bit and 64bit! Seriously! Will there even be 32bit only CPUs that'll be able to run Windows 7? 32bit FTL!!!

yeah thats the worst decision EVER.

32 bits apps already work on 64bit. And no 32bit cpu is capable of even running windows 7.

MS are retards in that deparment.
Now hardware manufacturers need to make 32bit drivers AND 64bit drivers for windows 7 also.

DAMMIT MS

they are holding the industry back instead of going forward

practically all 64-bit chips on the market will run 32-bit code. or are you saying that there wont be any more 32-bit only chips being produced anymore?

btw, i totally agree that Windows 7 should be 64-bit only.
