Looks nice and all. When you look at the rest of the screens it sure seems to have a lot going on with the UI. It's like they have tried to mix in everything from every UI you can think of. It's almost to much stuff.

The client versions of Windows 7 will ship in both 32-bit and 64-bit versions.

lol
I hope they don't. Automatic failure if they do. They need to go strictly 64 bit.

I hope they don't use the same old vista icon set. Why not make it much easier for the community to build them along with other eye candy, and for users to install.

I think they should even set up a site for community submissions.

Is it just me or do they look really fake? Looks TOO bloated to be real.

I agree it does look a little like ubuntu on 'Aero-roids'.

I also think it only looks as bloated as vista would look on initial boot with the sidebar and running at a very low resolution.

Like I said leave it up to the community to customize it the way we want. Or at least make it easy to do like Linux. It is gonna look like crap 2 years after release compared to what os dt will look like anyways.

Seems like people are getting dumber, so bigger icons with more colors looks to be the solution.

I thought it looked really cool, like a turned down version of vista,

I really don’t see what’s stopping people from use vista (ok, so I couldn’t find drivers for my printer and wi-fi card but....)

other than the lack of legacy driver support its very good. my mam got herself windows Ult 64bit and she loves it, The new search feature is great and I don’t know about xp but the way it does full and differential backups rock!

Here’s a question for yeh folks,

Q) If XP supported DX10 would you have upgraded to vista.

my answer

A) no. but I don’t think there is anything wrong with Vista. Its like the second child in any family, You love them but there never as good as the first.
