Lakers in 6
Lakers in 7.
And I should have bet more money on this being a Celtics v/s Lakers final :D
I am hoping the Lakers show up because these Celtics have somehow found a way to win each round. But, if they can shut-down Paul Pierce, they can win :D

I'm from boston so I'm pulling for the celtics. To me it seems they have been playing down to their competition throughout the playoffs, especially with the cavs and hawks. They seem to be regaining their footing and i think this will go to 7 games but I'm not sure who's going to come out on top.

This series will depend souly on the performance of Ray Allen and Paul Pierce.
If both Ray Allen and Paul Pierce are doing well, the Celtics will defeat the Lakers. If they aren't , they will lose. I leave Kevin Garnett out of that list because he WILL play well. Kevin Garnett is probably the most consistent player in the NBA other than Tim Duncan.
I'm placing my vote with Celtics in 6.

Because the Celtics as a whole are a VERY inconsistent team. They have lost to some of the worst teams in the NBA, but dominated the best. In all honesty, as a whole i believe the Celtics have a far more talented team.
As stated earlier, this series will depend on Ray Allen and Paul Pierce's performance. If these two players get in a bind though, Doc River's is too dense of a coach to figure out a way to make up for problems. This is where the Laker's have a HUGE advantage. They have the second best coach in the league(second only to Popovich). Doc Rivers imo isn't even in the top 10 coaching wise. If the Lakers get the ball rolling soon, the Celtics coach won't be able to adjust.

The Celtics are a more talented team. They have a great player in Garnett and Pierce. But they have a weak coach, and Ray is inconsistent.
The Lakers have a much more cohesive team team, better bench, better coach, and Kobe Bryant.

The Lakers and Celtics met twice throughout the regular season correct? I also believe they were both wins for the Celtics, was Pau Gasol or Bynum on the Laker roster during each match?

LA in 6. Ray Allen and Paul Pierce play the same position, and there is not room for them both in 1 lineup. They will never win a championship together.

If I remember correctly, which I do, they had the best record in the league playing in the same lineup. Allen is a SG, Pierce a SF - NOT the same.

people forget that Boston in an outstanding defensive team. They see the big 3 and they think O, but this is not the case. If they can slow down Kobe a little, they have a great chance.

You are right, BUT they have the exact same offensive roles on the team, they step on each other's toes, there is not room for both of them, and they cannot win. :p

Yep, there record IS better than the Lakers. Too bad they played in the crappy Eastern Conference where any of the top 4 Western Conference teams probably would have had the record (or better)...

Lets see about that, here is their record against the wests top teams this season.
vs. LA: 2-0
vs. NO: 1-1
vs. SA: 2-0
vs: Phoenix: 1-1
vs. Houston: 2-0
So 8-2 against the top teams, your theory seems pretty weak pal.

I made a mistake on that game, and lost some money. I won't be wrong again.

I was talking about the conference in which they won the majority of their games...A MUCH weaker conference. If a team only plays 10 games in another conference, they have a DAMN good chance of coming out well...That is a no brainer...The point was, that the reason they got the high win ratio was due to the MAJORITY of the games they played (against a weaker division)...Had the Lakers, or the Spurs or Suns for that matter, played in the East, one or more of them would have had an equal or better record.
Look, I'm not saying the Celts are a bad team, they are a damn good team. I'm just saying when spouting off about records, you have to look at the competition, and 10 games out of the total against the West does not show relevance to their record (IMO), when they are able to pad their stats against other (worse) teams from the East, playing them 1-2 times more per team...
