Can't you drop that into a .GIF instead? Should be able to get the size down and still look decent.

EDIT: GIF ends up being bigger than the JPG. But making it the same size as CaptNKILL's it still meets the requirements.

You lose the anti-aliasing with a .gif though. Well, the transparent anti-aliasing at least. It'll only look right on a white background.

Still, there isn't much need for a transparent background on a sig here. It'll never be on anything but white.

I can see what your talking about now that I posted the images up here. The jpg is definitely smoother, although it almost looks a little blurry around the edges. It would probably look better with a larger filesize I'm guessing.

I'll just remake it and remove the transparency, I still have the source files.

MikeC, I found another image problem, besides the SigPic thing. It's the avatars. Before the upgrade, you couldn't upload an avatar larger than 19.5KB, it would simply give you a message about it being too large of a file. Well, now it does the same thing as the SigPics, it automatically reduces the quality if the image is too big.

So, maybe something needs to be set where the avatars and sigpics both reject images that are larger than the allowed size. Here are my recommendations;

Avatars: 100x100 @ 20KB
SigPics: 500x100 @ 40KB

EDIT: Got my SigPic under 19KB, so that seems okay. I guess [you] can disregard the file size limits, but maybe still looking into the rejecting too large of file thingy.

something that has been driving me a litle nuts is the image URL window. when i go to post a URL for an image, that window pops up but auto-adds HTTP://. does anyone eklse notice that you always remove it when posting a link? for me at least, beacsue when i copy a link the http part is already there

Yea it always there. All you have to do is select the text and ctrl + V and it will overwrite it, so it isn't to big of a hassle to me.
