OK some new show called the Jace Hall Show will have DNF footage. The show run by the former Monolith Studios founder and CEO - Jason Hall is said to feature this footage.

Hollywood parties, hot chicks, celebrities, and geek culture. The Jace Hall Show is a true gamers mission to explore the colorful personalities associated with film, TV, music, sports and the video game industry itself. Presented as "The Office" meets "Jimmy Kimmel" The Jace Hall Show is a hardcore adventure filled with candid Q and A, Jackass-style challenges, and of course, intense office intern abuse for the general audience.
At least he covered all the marketing bases with that blurb. I just hope he puts more into his show then his web site..

Lets see if he can deliver on the DNF hype.

- Web site link here (http://www.jacehallshow.com/). It's said, this the show will premier June 4th (rumor).

Wow, it's like they mixed every bad reality tv show/gimmick and created this cluster**** of a show? This hip-cool-crash thing has got to stop. :\

As for the trailer, oh well, let's see. I, for one, don't have much (if any) hope for this title. If it delivers, good for them.

I have no knowledge of any new trailer. I'd tell you if I did.

This is something we did for Jason months ago and it's not quite going to be what you expect. We didn't want him unveiling the game at that point so the piece was done as a favor for Jason, who we've known for 15 years.

I just don't want people getting too excited over this. The teaser trailer in Dec was about all the teasing we'd planned on. We weren't sure when, or if, this show would ever appear. I look forward to seeing what Jason did with the show. I can promise you that the next time you see the game it'll be in substantial form.

Then why did they do it for him? Just when you think it can't get any worst George B posts stuff like that.

What gets me is, if they did this and didn't ask him to keep it under NDA what do they expect, he wants to sell his show and by his bio he will say and do anything.

I have a feeling

- Jace Hall show will fail.
- DNF will not live up the the hype and fail as well.

Sorry to waste everyones time with this post, did not see that follow up nutcrackr got my source from an rss feed.

I've always believed in Duke, but as it's been quite a while since that little teaser clip, I'm starting to believe they're currently like 1% done with the game.

If there's employees getting paid for DNF, it's the greatest scam ever. Keep making and get paid for a game that will never come out. You're guaranteed to not lose your job, LOL. :o

The employees used to look for WMDs in Iraq . . .

They're still looking. They're very very close. They have a big announcement they'll make the day after DNF is released.

Seems that George Broussard has answered a few Questions regarding the footage shown.

This is a follow up to the previous news item--thanks to Kristian and 3DR forum users for getting the following out of George Broussard:

Question:
I hope this isn't Doom 3 (indoors and dark).
Answer:
It's not. This was a snippet from one level inside hoover dam, for a few mins. there are large outdoor environments, too, and tons of stuff not seen here. I wasn't even sure they were going to show game footage as the original deal was to just film jason playing the game, and a reaction. They cut in a few scenese here and there. Much much more to see and come.

We only let jason play a small section of one level. rest assured there are large ooutdoor open areas and much much more to come. this is but a small taste.

You're looking at it from a scientific angle, only analyzing a few seconds of gameplay. Most people look at it as confirmation that the game they want to play is alive, breathing, and coming...

There is so much more to show, it's silly. And it still won't be enough for lots of people, and that's ok.

Never fear, there are bright, daylight levels, as well. I'd say all times of day and mood are represented at some point. There is a mixture of corridor crawls, and larger more open areas (indoor and out).

Any voice in there was added by HD Films and isn't in game.

Question:
That EDF supply crate is one of the worst crates in the history of crates. But otherwise... /throws confetti!

Answer:
Been replaced for quite a while now. That footage is 6 months old and lots of things are updated or tweaked/different now.

Question:
oh yeah, the points thing that pops up definitly needs to go

Answer:
Programmer art and temp, which is why footage was never really intended to be shown, and why we're not quite doing "official" releases of in game stuff. It's in progress but about to have another polish pass.

We do polish passes on things all the time. It just depends what the focus is. Some people are polishing and others are building new things, and it all changes all the time. There are times when we lock down for 3-4 weeks and virtually everyone works on polish as a core goal, too.

Question:
so does this video count as "stay tuned" material?

Answer:
Not really. It was kind of random.

The particle effects in this video are about 6 months old and most of the combat fx have been replaced by now with new hotness.

What does this all tell us... After close to 10years in development they are still making final passes and things are not complete.

Reading between the lines ... This game is never coming out nor will it be finished.

It's sad media gives the game so much attention. Let it die already.....
