Actualy its for my room. And I bought a few things I just thought I would take a few pictures of the box build and whatnot. This is just a quick post to show the speaker I got. Ive always had car audio for subs in my room. Before this I had 2 old jl audios (around ~150watt RMS.) Anyways I mentioned back before that I was ordering a 15" Fi audio. I instead went with the 18" and this things pretty neat.
I didnt want too big a motor because the small size of my room limits how far away I can keep it from my pc and stuff. So I went with the 18" SSD Fiaudio. Speaker can be found at ficaraudio.com
I added the BP power and Copper Coil option.
Anyways That and a 1800Watt Max 1ohm stable at over 1kwatt RMS Kenwood Amp Ive read great things about. And allot of 4gag/8gag/and 12gag wire for power and speaker. Ill show you all the other stuff Im using to power the amp later.
For now Hears the speaker.

What kind of box are you building? How deep are you making the bass go, and at what distorsion?

Keep us posted. I really want to see that box you're building.

Cool sub, I've had my Rockford HX2 18 for about 8 years now and still going strong. One question, how do you go about installing and powering the sub in your room?

I was using 2 RF BD1000's to power 2 18's in an S-10 (8 Cu.Ft. ported box) I always went to iDBL, db drag ISACA and USACi competitions.

KasuCode, that sub was only $240? Man when I bought this one it was $800. Still not the most expensive, I bought a JL 13w7 for $1,050 but holy $h!7 that thing sounded better then one of my 18's.

Its $284 with the options I got. I wanted to get a BTL but the motor is way too big and I fear it sitting too close to my PC.
Anyways. It got dark and I stoped taking pictures after awhile but I got all the wood cut.

Ill show you tomorrow.
trying to move the walls around ?
The sub sitting on my bed with no enclosure and a crap house amp with 150watts (gain hallf way because its only 4ohm so more less 80watt) was shaking my windows and much louder then my Logitech z5500s bass. I played some test tones untell I started getting to 44Hz my house amp started poping so I turned it off so it didnt fry lol. I just wanted to see if my house amp could even move the speaker at all. This things going to be crazy when I get it boxed up and powered to its max.

This box is about 6.5cu.ft after speaker displacement. I was trying to tune this thing to get the best sound I could from it. I used a few diffrent port generators and read allot before I decided how I should build my box.

Looking good. The first box that I built for my 18 was 6cu.ft. tuned to 19Hz man that was low. The next box was only 4cu.ft. tuned to 30Hz and it rocked every type of music.

Looks good, did you run a cable from the main power to the remote turn on?
900 watts should push that sub real good. Can't wait to see more pics.

I made a video but I dont want to post it because its too dark. Ill make a new one tomorrow.
With it turned up maybe 1/4th the way it shakes my neighnobrs windows. Every window in my house shakes even with all the doors closed. Now im wondering how much it would cost to redo my walls with some soundproof walling. I need to fix all my walls anyways I think the next thing I will do is make my room soundproof.
