Anyone heard of this rumor? I for one would pay upwards of $200 to watch this on Pay Per View. If this DID happen, it would be one of the largest selling(if not THE Largest selling) fight of all time.
I know Tyson is washed up now(and very overweight). In all honesty though, if this fight DID happen, I think Tyson would still cream Kimbo. Kimbo is nice to watch simply because of his old youtube clips that we have "grown up" watching. Kimbo is not a very good fighter though. However, Tyson is still a trained boxer. He could easily learn other techniques as well(although he wouldn't really need them as Kimbo would want to go toe to toe like a fool). I'd give the fight to Tyson with a first round KO.
What do you guys think of this rumor? Think it might happen? Who do you think would win?

It definitely would be a good fight to watch.
I would probably watch it and although washed up, I can't imagine too many people actually taking a bare fisted shot to the head from Tyson and still end up standing.... he is getting pretty old and fat though. I would have to go with Tyson winning still.
In his prime, I really don't think it would even be a contest, Tyson was just a beast until his head got all messed up.

After Kimbos last fight... I just want him to be gone.
I was against all of the hype he was getting anyway, but I figured Bas was training him so surely he couldn't be that terrible, right? Wrong... dude has ZERO take down defense, ZERO ground game at all, the only thing he did was almost get Thompson off of him and that was only because Thompson has a terrible base... the stoppage was terrible and Thompson was minutes away from winning a decision (even though the fight should have been stopped in the second after like 20 undefended elbows hit Kimbo right in the face).
Kimbo Slice is a terrible fighter and I would fight him right now having 0 fighting experience.

Agreed he is a bum who fought to get money for a sammich. He won't be a pro if he trained for five more years.
Kimbo might lose an ear..
Tyson would probably want to be original. He did the ear biting already, so he'd try to bite off his entire head.
I saw that last fight this Slice was in and it looked like a settup except for the end where the other dude took a wicked punch to the ear. And there is something about Slice that creeps me out...........

Tyson is way past his prime but I still think he can beat the living **** out of the average schmuck like Slice.

I noticed that too. If that fight was in UFC and had an uncorrupt referee that fight would have been called after all those uncontested punches and bows to the face.
What was even more BS was how Thompson was still fighting and they called the fight in Kimbo's favor.

Yeah... like I read elsewhere it is funny how the loser is standing in the refs face over the call, and the winner is laying on the floor. Honestly if they were going to end it in a stupid place, the second round would have been better because Kimbo had Thompson rocked WAYYYY worse with that left hook, right uppercut he landed (think it was that combo), but Thompson came back and got a really sloppy takedown on Kimbo who apparently can't defend a takedown from a 3 year old midget baby with no arms.

Maybe not physically, but Tyson still has one of the best technical boxing minds in the business. Experience is majorly leaning towards Tyson's advantage.
Either way. I want to see this fight. :D

at that level though, fighting relies on physicality. If for the last 10 years, tyson has been moving as slow as a slug, he's not going to simply "explode" like he did in his prime. I really dont know how much boxing he has done since then... but if its very little, why should he have a great boxing mind? you have to exercise your mind.
Yea, with geniuses (like him), sometimes you can put it on autopilot, but i think he has been removed from the sport too long to simply kick in auto pilot and go to the highest level. Against kimbo, he probably wont even have to.

James Thompson is a PrideFC reject. I remember him fighting CroCop (in his prime) and he took a beating that sent him back to UK. :o

Tyson v Slice would be ridiculous. Kimbo was terrible vs James Thompson and Tyson hasn't been in the gym for years. Nothing but a cash grab with 2 exhausted heavyweights by the second round. No f****** way I would pay to watch this. I would pay $200 for a second Mayweather De La Hoya war though. Too bad about Pretty Boy's retirement because that fight seemed inevitable.

Not to mention the TAP OUT at 4:49 in the first round. If I was the ref I would have called that a submission. Look for yourself.
EDIT: Listening to the commentary it seems Kimbo was giving a thumbs up or something. Not sure what he was doing with his left hand, but thompson sure handled him well.

I just want to say that this will be a good fight if he actually boxes and not cage fight. I think he should cage fight with cage fighters and box with boxers you know, it doesn't make sense. There's no sense at all in cage fighting a boxer. It's like fishing for deer it makes no sense and its just stupid and not wort watching
