Has anyone seen this yet? It looks like the GTX 280 is not a terrific leap over the current G92GPUs. I'm definitely disappointed with what I see.:thumbdwn: Let's hope they perform a lot better in current games! http://forums.vr-zone.com/showthread.php?t=286096

Ooops! It looks like there is a great thread below with more gaming benchmarks. I just thought I'd throw these results out there anyway.
meh i thought you were talking about actual gaming performance ..

I think I may pass on the GTS 280 and keep my 8800 GTs in SLI. They're still great performers. I don't think the GTX 280 will be worth the $649 price tag, let alone the inflated prices which we know the card will command when it actually releases.
Can 3DMark just die already? Kthxbia

I see 134% increase over the 9800GTX in the Extreme Vantage test... That would make it at least 100% faster than a 8800GTX! It's also 80% faster in the Performance test (Q6600@3Ghz here) If that translates into actual game increases... I'm so there. And that's for a single card. I very much doubt that the 4870x2 will scale without problems. So even if it's faster in an ideal situation, not all situations will be ideal...
