Unless this is with 4xAA 16xAF, I'm not that impressed.

Crysis amuses me. People are only still playing it because it doesn't run very well. It's an interesting and quite deliberate ploy by the industry to promote hardware sales, and I do admire the psychological manipulation and abuse being used to market the game. It's superb.

I find it unlikely to be with AA/AF.

I could care less abou the very high settings, and med./high would do for me with AA/AF cranked up at my native 1920x1600 res.

Give me playable FPS at that and I will buy whatever nvidia sells.

Until we see some benchmarks from other games, the GTX 280 may prove to be underwhelming. It will cost at least $700 at launch, and the performance may not justify the cost. Nvidia may have allowed AMD to take the performance crown back with the HD 4870!

Yeah doesn't seem that impressive..

Maybe 40-50 FPS WITH AA+AF. Then we'd be talking.

And even though details are vague at this point AMD is looking more interesting all the time..

Dude, this board only has room for one person with horrible unreadable grammar and spelling, and we already have Athlon.

Meh. Not impressed.

I wouldn't play this game at 36fps...

I can play Crysis at 36fps more than minimum playable 25fps that is acceptance at any resolution.

I wish the figures were higher, but I think anyone who was expecting a substantial improvement over the GX2, atleast in Crysis, was being unrealistic. The 280 has been described as a little faster then the GX2, which when considering that it's a single GPU isn't that bad.

I dunno but I'm seriously NOT going to be spending any more money anytime soon.

A couple of 8800's in SLI, or a GX2 will do for the time being.

Seriously people, it's literally ridiculous how much they charge for this crap,
and it's hardly going to make any difference.

Don't buy it !! Being patient never hurt.

I dunno how we lucked out so well with the 8800's but we did. I'm confident
they'll last another year.

Probably....but the gtx 260/280 is in a complete different league here. I am more curious to see how ATi will do with there cares...there price is defiantly alot lower than nvidia...but i am curious on the performance..

I translated the original page and couldn't find any notes on AA/AF at all, how can you be sure it's with AA/AF?

The score is actually quite a bit better than a GX2 (10+ FPS) also, so it seems somewhat believable.
