Hopefully they fix the hit detection though.

That devastating back hand at the end of the fight should have removed the face of the guy laying on the ground.

you see how those guys fight? that's the way it's supposed to be. when two guys have a problem, they should drop the gloves, put their **** down and duke it out like men. none of this gang-up **** and guns that stupid kids pull today.

epic :rofl

pssh amateur! Everyone knows the super computer at the end of metal gear 1 is the most fearsome boss evAr. need 80 plastic explosives to blow it up? Opps! Snake can only carry 79! Game over man!

LOL That's the lame NES version. You should play the MSX2 version where you actually fight Metal Gear.

Seriously anyone owes it to themselves to play the proper original. Kojima himself said he was disappointed when they did the NES port without him and made changes.

the instruction manual said the guy you fight before the computer room was "metal gear" <_<

The biggest change to the game was in the overall level design. The game features a new opening sequence showing Solid Snake and three other soldiers (who are never seen nor mentioned in any other part of the game) skydiving into the jungles of Garzburgh. The game begins in a brief Jungle area added to this version and the player must reach a transport truck that takes Snake to the front entrance of Building 1. The player can also enter other transport trucks that takes Snake to the entrances of the other buildings, allowing the player to skip most of the game. The basement floor that connects Building 1 and 2 in the MSX2 version is turned into two separate (but interconnected) buildings, Building 4 and 5 respectively, that are only reachable by going through a maze first. The Metal Gear mecha in the end of the game is missing; instead the player destroys an immobile Super Computer guarded by four soldiers. The Hind D boss on the roof of Building 1 was also replaced by two armed gunners. Other subtle changes includes the lack of the double exclamation mark alert, different background music, the removal of the Flying Army's ability to hover and the removal of Big Boss' message after the ending credits.

Have a read, you'll be surprised how changed it is AND how much the MGX2 version is like the PSX MGS. Example in the MGX2 game he arrive underwater like in MGS, not parachuted in with 3-4 other soldier who we never hear of again.

The thing I missed most was the MGX2's darker, gritty graphics.
