I call BS on that slide. The numbers don't even look like they are supposed to be there. I think it would be better if this thread was kept to real numbers from an actual vendor selling the cards.

That's going to be pretty hard- finding prices from actual vendors.

$868.5123 is the expected Swedish price for a 280 or even more but around there

so i ain´t going to buy that card no sir i will go ATI

If those are the actual prices and the ATI 4870 perform somewhere between the GTX 260 and GTX 280 for 250$-300 $ (rumored) then i fear that nVidia is going to be raped by AMD this round unless they announce a price drop in the next month or so.

I wanted to use the eVga step up program to get 9800GTX ----) GTX 260 but looking at the leaked benchs of the 280 and at the price tag of the 260 i'll just forget it and keep my 9800GTX i guess. I game at 1650 x 1080 so i should be OK for a while anyway.

Ordered a 280 for CHF 750.- (around $720). That's actually a bit cheaper than the GX2 a few months ago!

skipping this card, will wait and see what ATI offers, then I have a choice to either get ATI, wait for new GT200 shrink or buy 9800GX2 for about 400.

650+ is ****ing crazy, slightly faster then GX2 in some games, and 250+ dollars more expensive. WTF

The prices a crazzy imo but that is normal are at launch.

I think it is now time to wait till the end of the month and the 48XX releases at see what they bring to the picture.

Yeah. The 8800GT has halfed in price since it's release. I expect your right about the X2 causing a GTX price drop. At least I hope that'll be the case. It'll be £350 in no time :D

Well I got my 8800GTX about two months after it was realesed and it had gone down when I did. I think they launched at about £400 ish and I got mine for £320. So I think you are right and they may drop to around the £350ish mak in a month or so.
