Just got my EVGA 55 nm GeForce GTX 260 Core 216. Try saying that 10 times really fast :headexplode:

Did a step up from a 9600GSO that was $99 on the NewEgg invoice but only $30 out of pocket (after Live cashback, coupons, and rebates); ending up paying $169.99 (Step Up) + $30 for the 9600GSO, only $200, not bad. Driver recommendations, anyone?

I RMA'd my GTX 260 core 216 and EVGA upgrade me to GTX 260 core 216 SSC 55nm!:) Which is cool but now I want to go SLI and can't find it any where. Amazon has it as pre-order and newegg doesn't have it either. Anyone?

I got the last remaining stock of the 65nm, Core 216 EVGA Superclocked Edition.
Finally determined my stable overclock speeds: 737/1534/2506
The problem is, I like it so much, I'm hesitant to step-up with EVGA.
Oh well, I have another 60 days to decide. :D

Got my two gainward Golden Sample 260GTX SP216s today. Pretty good 300AUD a pop. Installed and running without a problem. Tight squeeze with 2nd card and X-Fi. May end up pulling the X-Fi if it runs two hot.

Installing patching Crysis now.

Nice! What did you use before these?

1x 8800GTX

Little step up.

Crysis runs perfectly. Stock, no special configs. 1680x1050 4AA. So good. Best 3sum ever!

What motherboard are you using for SLI ?

Abit nforce 650i board. Not flash, but it's been a good cheap backbone.

Nothing wrong with Abit. Bloody shame they aren't still around.

Shouldn't be. I'm using Gainward Golden Samples myself and they seem great so far. Have a longer warranty than what EVGA do in Australia (2 years vs 1 year), though they are very loud when the fan hits 60% and above. Thankfully they rarely get that hot. ::): They use a twin fan cooler, so with SLI that's 4 of the buggers!

I haven't seen the Gainward cards. You should post some pics.

I will. It's in the Stacker right now. I have it inverted so they up top and hidden under the X-Fi, so I might have to pull them out. Too much Crysis for that now. ::D:

I would have liked perhaps an EVGA or XFX card, but they are at least 100 more expensive. ::(: Not worth the premium when there is no lifetime warranties involved. Still my first 3D card was a Gainward VooDoo. ::jumping:: They were the big guys then, along with Orchid and Diamond.

Just got my 2nd GTX 280 and finally joined the SLI club. Nice to see the performance boosts, but then I get weird artifacts and bugginess when I try to run SLI with certain games along with 3D Vision (Empire - Total War for one), which is disheartening because that is why I upgraded to SLI in the first place (a single GTX 280 can still play most games very well normally at 1680x1050 resolution that I'm running at). Crossing my fingers at better driver support as time goes on.

Just received my EVGA GTX260 from Newegg yesterday. It replaces an 8800GTS 320MB that started to really go south on me. Lovely card so far :).
