Jakup,

Any chance you can run some 2560x1600 benchmarks?? I've got a 9800GTX SLI setup and run in Triplehead (3840x1024) which about matches the overall pixels of 2560x1600 and I'm deciding whether or not to upgrade to a pair of 280's before my eVGA step-up runs out at the end of the month.

Thanks in advance!

Check his sig - Dell 2407WFP = 1920x1200 max. After the cost of the cards, cpu, ddr3, mobo etc $1399 for a 30inch might be a bit of stretch. Certainly would be fun though :D

card is awesome at high resolutions with 16 AF!
http://enthusiast.hardocp.com/article.html?art=MTUxOCwxMiwsaGVudGh1c2lhc3Q=
The GeForce GTX 280 can now do 32 pixels per clock of ROP Blends compared to 12 pixels per clock on the GeForce 8800 GTX, this is a significant increase.Notice that in every game we were able to have 16X AF enabled, we found literally very little performance drop enabling 16X AF in every game. This is a quality option you can simply leave on and enjoy clear textures.

:rofl

I'm pretty sure the only reason why he still has the 24" is because he's an FPS wh0r3. :D

Guys like this have enough money to spend any pc part they choose. He lives in California, Chino, and those people are like well off, Gas prices and cost of living doesn't bother them.

These cards are what 650 bucks each? 3 of them just over 2 grand. nothing just pocket change to some people here.

I just finished my rig with 2 9800GTX's and it runs very well, but i spent my wad already and i have to waite til next year to upgrade agin.

Nice rig as usual Jakup, you never mention how much you really pay for those cards.

I know The Big One a member here who i know will have them too cuz he is rich too.

LOL - Maybe your thinking Chino HILLS? Chino is an average small city mainly with people who make poor to moderate income, but house prices, etc are still high. Chino Hills on the other hand, yes, those people generally have a good income.

Grats on the rig Jakup. Did you ask Nalu if I can come check it out tonight?

Wow very nice man!! :) EVGA really managed to do a cool design for the sticker on the cards - the best looking ones by far!

Allot of the comments about only the rich buy these cards is kind of annoying. You donít have to be rich to be an enthusiast. If you have something you love to do. You will find a way to do it. Iím very far from rich. But I work my ass off and skip out on some things to afford the stuff I love.

Anyways Grats Jakup, Looking great man. Just need to get them on some water.

Its always ironic. I've always tried to catch up with Jakup. But despite my resources. I never can :)

First off those scores are great! those are better than Vince's air scores (thats saying a lot IMO)

I would like to know wattage as well.

I am 90% sure that EVGA doesnt have a employee purchase program, and even if they did there isnt as much of a discount as most people think.

$1800 on GPU's isnt bad, I just dropped $7k on parts to make my car faster. Its all about your priorities.

Congrats on the scores/gpu's again Jakup!

Is this your 24/7 clocks?

Im very curious , this guy has to have the best rig on this board or he can't survive. But with all his gaming gear, just how good is jakup in gaming period?

Some of these guys with super ubber rigs usually play in big tournys and win money too like the bigone guy.

And their guys who have super rigs who aren't good at games.

Not as good as I expected, but still good. I think I will wait for another to upgrade my 512mb Gts (which do the job relatively well).

As for Jackup's rig, it's just his personal preferences, he is computer hardware enthusiasts. If upgrade makes him happy, why not? I would spend whatever I can afford to make myself happier. My uncle once got a ugly looking china plate for 50k, it's just a small plate that looks really really ugly and it costs 50k. Well, he isn't like those millionaire that makes 7 or 8 digits a year, but he is happy that he spent those kinda of money on something he really like. Good for him.

he has to have the best rig on the board? what? :wtf:

jAkUp works for evga, and i assume he gets great deals on the cards. not to mention he is a very respected member of the community, so when he shows off hardware, people pay attention.

isnt that reason enough to get all that sweet hardware?
