Part of it is availability. They have to make "X" amount available to retailers/etailers. Whatever is leftover goes to stepup, and in that case, it's first come first served. I was in the teens on my last stepup, and it took a few days for my number to come up.

There's alot of complaints about this on the EVGA forums, several members have stated that EVGA support claims it is a mistake and is looking into fixing prices. However, it also seems that you cannot change shipping options once you are in the queue.

I think 7.90 is cool. It was the others that were crazy high. Ground is fine with me.

For less than $40 I would take it just to reset your stepup program. Oh yea the shipping, pretty much anything UPS is around $10 minimum now, but what they had posted for the "other than ground" pricing is not correct.

Doesn't work that way. Once you stepup, that's it, you're no longer eligible for stepup again on that line. It's one stepup per initial purchase.

I'm about to say goodbye to my GX2, after this next shutdown it will be packed up and shipped. Spent the last hour or so benching, got some new Vantage scores which were surprisingly high, probably due to the 177.35 driver. Back to the old 8800 GTX for about 10 days, meaning I can play GOW again...

Medusa runs alot better on the 8800 GTX than the GX2, first thing I tried. Must not use SLI, and the 768MB is alot closer to what it was designed for.
