My existing speakers are Logitech X-230s. Given that I paid $18 off Newegg for them a few years back, they've been excellent. However, they're partially blown now, and it's starting to get annoying. My new speakers have to meet these requirements.

-2.1 (I don't have the space to setup surround sound)
-Equal to or better than X-230 (so pass on X-240)
-My budget is preferably under $100, though lower is better. I might be able to splurge up to $150 is there's something in that range that would blow me away.

I'm currently looking at these:

Logitech Z-4 - $59.99 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16836121130)
Logitech Z-2300 - $90.99 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16836121122)

My wife has the Z-4i (same as Z-4, but in white/silver), and they sounded a little better than the X-230s. I'd be happy with those. The Z-2300 are 200W as opposed to 40W, and cost $30 more.

Get these. I have them and they are AMAZING. The best 2.1 speakers out there by my book.

I bought those Z4s for a buddy's rig- they absolutely rock. Though I paid $100 for mine, that was quite some time ago.

If you cannot afford the Klipsch breathemetal referred to, get the Z4s. :D
