Initially, I am impressed. I see dramatic performance increases at 2560x1600 in Age of Conan, even with 4x AA enabled. =)

I recommend putting a high-speed Yate Loon on the side of your case, and/or, multiple Yate Loon fans. They move a lot of air and will allow you to maintain stability.

They don't get too hot, I suppose it's due to the high-speed fan blowing directly on it.

I will post more soon.

Very nice indeed.

A question though, why didn't you can get the water-blocked versions either from Evga or BFG? They should drop the temps a lot more. Not to mention the BFG one is single slot so you can stick a sound card in there as well. :)

Any idea why EVGA doesn't make their watercooled cards single slot? BFG card = :drooling: I know you can buy single slot PCI brackets yourself but still..

I have a sound card. It's in my PCI-1x slot, above the main video adapter. Also, I will be water cooling them. I just prefer higher quality blocks, from danger den, or EK. I'm not going to use EVGA blocks.

I want to see GTX280 vs SLI 8800GTX in 1280*1024 and 1680*1050 (1600*1200) resolution. All these review for insane high resolution are totally pointless for 98% of gamers around the globe.

Right because so FEW people have those ultra expensive 400 dollar 24" monitors that run at 1920x1200

I'm glad to see reviews for this card putting in lots of 2560 and 1900 res benchmarks - about time high end cards are tested for what they are meant for

If you're going to spend 650 on a card I would hope you'd have spent 400 at least on the monitor

Why the hell would you have two 8800gtx in sli for 1280x1024 to begin with ?

But SLI systems like that are absolutely pointless for those low resolution displays...

No they are not. I run 1680*1050 (Widescreen and it's sweet spot).

I'd like to see some 1280*1024 for just GTX280 VS 8800GTX. I'm still rocking some super sweet 19" CRT's that I'm not going to get rid of for a long time.

I agree. It's about value of the card. I want to see single 8800GTX vs GTX280 and SLI 8800GTX vs GTX280 in 1280*1024 and 1600*1200 resolution to see how GTX280 scales.
