It's not 1:1 money exchange rate, Europe is more expensive. My guess is that it will be less than $350

I don't see any real benchmarks anywhere.

i think it performs better than a gtx260...
Between 260 and 280....IMHO near gtx280.
This is a 300€ "graphic system",2 radeon 4850,look how they perform....outstanding.

Waiting for 4870 bench.

Yes sir....ownage
Awesome price, I really do hope there is a large amount of 1GB 4870's and not that many 512MB's. At that price a 1GB 4870 should be a bargain!
The price +extra ram will defiantly make it like the 6800GT. Best bang for your buck.
We need benchies ..
You are obsessed. Only a couple more days to wait :)

More like a couple of weeks actually! isnt the 4870 supposed to be launched on July 8th or something close ?

If they have it, why they use picture of radeon 3870X2? :p

no, NDA ends at 25th June.
Well we know it's going to perform at least 20% better than the 4850 in even the worst case scenario since it's clocked 20% higher, the bonus on top of that will be any situation where it needs more memory and memory bandwidth.
Just going through the techreport's review (I like their reviews mainly because they only include low and average frame rates) adding 20% on the figures puts it on average around on par with the GTX 260. Quite a bit ahead in some cases and closer to the GTX 280, but quite a bit behind in others. I think it's safe to say it will be the GTX 260 killer and make the GTX 280's price look silly right until it hits the current GTX 260 price, which I can't see happening.
Should be a great upgrade for my 8800GTS that's for sure. Too bad I've only had it for 3 months, ah well I doubt I'll be getting a 4870 for a few months after release.

And after so many reviews of the 512 mb model, and all shops only list 512 mb model, I think this is a typo. I think there won't be 1 gb cards yet
Where's ASUS when you need them? True, the 512MB model does very well for a 512MB card, much better than my 8800GTS, but it still falls behind at ultra high res, so 1GB is justified.
