It turns out I had to download the physx 8.6 driver to get a selection between aegis and physx in the other tab, all good now :)

That CPU wont last long with that much voltage.

With the phase cooling he has, it'll last him long enough, at least until his next upgrade. Next month? :D

Drivers work fine on my system. First driver past 175.63 that doesn't break SLI for me.:D

Well yes but then again why worry - by the time we all screw our cpus etc with overclocking the dam thing will be so out of date and cheap enough to replace with the next faster cooler generation. Why are you so worried about making your cpu last when the next one is about to be released and you will swap for it anyway. Let it work hard for you hard earned dollars!. Sheesh these days nothing is built to last so why try to make it.

My 9650 lasted for months with more voltage :) My 6850 lasted half a year with more as well. They are both still going strong :)

I have got a couple of BSOD with the infamous nvlddmkm stopped responding message after about 1 hour of gameplay (Lego Indiana Jones), so I'm back to previous driver. This is the second driver set that has given me BSOD, don't remember the other but it also was a driver with modded inf

Nekro, will your modded .inf file work with my 9600GT's , 177.39 driver, and latest PhysX driver?

Crap, can't get the physx driver to work at all. :-/ Just doesn't show up in the control panel, no matter how many times I try reinstalling 'em. Tried reinstalling the display driver without any success.

Btw. does it matter if you use the nv_gt2x parameter for you 8800Gts 512 in the nv_disp.inf file, instead of the nv_g9x one?

EDIT: Made no difference(using gt2x), and the physx panel was located in the 32 bit control panel. :D

if this is your card

NVIDIA_G94.DEV_0622.1 = "NVIDIA GeForce 9600 GT"

then it will work

Should show in "Start/Programs/Nvidia Corporation/Nvidia PhysX Properties".

Question, is the 9500M GS too weak of a GPU for Physx to work on it ?
At the moment I have Geforce Physx greyed out under hardware device selection (XP64, 177.39, latest Physx driver). Anyone with a mobile 8600 GPU got it working ?

andy, it only works on GT200, G92 based cards right now. 9500M is either G94 or G96 based.

Went back to the 175.80 set. Is the PhysX driver dependent on the nVidia driver? I mean, shouldn't PhysX still work for me, regardless of driver?

This is the first driver with PhysX and CUDA support, doesn't work with older drivers.

Thanks for the info, guess I'll have to wait, that's if nvidia decides to implement it for this card.

Well, since UT3 and Vantage are the only two progs that recognize it, no use to me. ;)
