How Much?

$50. Bare card. You'll need a cable and terminator. The BIOS on the card is 2.57. You *might* fry the card if you try and flash it with the most recent, 3.10 BIOS since it's an OEM card.
Let me know if interested.
I also have an Adaptec 19160 to get rid of as well. Even cheaper. It's not 64bit though, and it's not dual channel. Still SCSI160 however. :)

how much for the 19160?
what kind of payment do you accept?

I'd take $30 for the 19160. One of the pins that the LED connector fits on is bent slightly, FYI. It hasn't interfered with plugging the connector in for me and I'm sure you could bend it back if you're careful.
I can send you the card and you can send me a check.

sounds like a deal, for the 39160 anyway. I will pm you by the end of the day with my address.
What's the deal with the 19160? Is it OEM as well or retail?

The 19160 is a retail board. I've LONG since thrown the box and documentation away, however. It is using BIOS 3.10.
You can *probably* get away with flashing the 39160 if you really needed to. I just never tried since the disclaimer on Adaptec's site said that it could be risky for an OEM board and also since I was not and am not having any problems with mine.
You know how it is. If it isn't broke, don't mess with that thing!
;)
PM me your address, let me know which one you have decided on (39160 or 19160, or both if you want) and then I'll get it in the mail sometime early next week (probably Tues).
And since I am asking for you to send me a check, keep in mind this is on the HONOR system. I'm not questioning your honor, just reminding you.

Ive flashed the 39160 OEM with the latest BIOS and had no issues whatsoever. not only that but the Adaptec flash utility is extremely smart and capable of rolling it back if there is any issue. its just Adaptec that likes to scare the crap out of users so they buy retail, thats why they say that on the BIOS download page. scared me too :(
totally stable. no worries. an excellent card.
if its not 64bit/66mhz and its not dual channel, then its a 29160 card.

Yeah, I figured it'd probably be OK to flash it. I haven't flashed mine since I'm not having any issues and you know what they say about if it's not broke... ;)
Only problem I have now... I just got a new Lian Li case (will post some pictures soon) and decided to leave the floppy out of the picture. Kinda hard to flash BIOS without one even if I wanted to.
BTW, I still have a couple for sale if you're interested. @ $50 they're a steal pretty much.

Yep. Some of the ATTO scores I've seen over on asusboards makes me want to buy a RAID controller. Adaptec makes an U320 RAID controller w/32meg of RAM on there for like $450. I would need another 36gb x15 though.
If only I were rich... :)
