I am happy to report that this is the fastest driver I have used to date. Oblivion is up 7fps in some of the heavy forested and grassy areas and the Witcher is up a good 5fps in most places.

I will test some other games now.

This is a nice boost for my 8800GT.

It seems these aren't a refresh of 175.16, they recoded the shader piece as mentioned in the highlights. They might be worth a try even if you didn't like the 175.16's.

AF has been a little off in LOTRO with the 175.16s, looking forward to getting home and trying these.

175.19 (WHQL) Drivers

Thanks for the link SpunkyXL.

EDIT: these are my new keepers. First time I've ever played GoW with 0 stutters or flickering shadows, so far everything I've played is smooth as heck @ 1680x1050. I'm not benching for fps anymore - I just want the best possible IQ and smoothness. Loving this set.

Anyone have a modded INF that supports the laptop chips?

Not a ton of testing yet, but with Source games and LOTRO stable, any performance gain is minor but the installer seems better (175.16 would black out my screen for so long during hardware detection I thoght the system was hung).

LOL.

So far these are working great here too. Played some COD4 online, had more kills that usual. Must be the drivers ;)

Vegas2, GOW all very smooth with 8800GTX.

NVidia's official driver releases are on a silly uneven schedule. First no new offical driver in 6 months or so (at least for me with 8800GTX), and now a new just within weeks.

No problems so far with this driver anyway.

First, my Vista 64 didn't boot, go stuck on load screen, did a hard reset, then mouse didn't work, could use keyboard, so restarted OS and now no probs

I tried the 177.39 set and they were okay, but seemed just a bit sluggish. I'm back to the 175.80 set.
