Damn my typos... vide OH!!1

I got a new digital pic frame, a Coby DP-102.

10", nice 800x480 wide screen, good looking black or white frame (interchangeable).

I have i hooked up to a set of Logitech X-240 speakers with a sub in my bedroom. It sits on the dresser by the bed...

That's right, I want to watch videos on it.

I've tested some of my mpeg and AVI fles and it's really really picky.

I need a video converter that lets me switch formats and reduce/enhance audio/video bitrate etc.

Can someone point me in the right direction? I will not give up on this frame... that is unless there's some other 10" frame out there with outstanding video codec compatibility.

:D(crazy)

Unless you're planning on spending TONS of money, checkout some of the Ulead products. http://www.corel.com/servlet/Satellite?pagename=us-Ulead/UleadProcessLayout&lc=en&ppg=CorelCorp/Trials/Login&pid=1203568938430&cid=1204918397683

Give the trial a shot.

I use Vegas, but that's probably a BIT more expensive than what you'd care to spend.

If you want complete control, then use something at this link...Look at the descriptions and what it allows you to do...I like Nandub, Virtualdub, and especially TMPGEnc....The later allows all sorts of bitrate tweeks, etc...

http://www.videohelp.com/tools/sections/video-encoders-avi-wmv

If that link doesn't help you, then just go to www.videohelp.com and look around...They will have software to do whatever your trying to do...

When asking around the other day I got directed to http://mediacoder.sourceforge.net/

Haven't used it myself, though.
Thoughts?
