Does anyone know where you can find a whitebook? Basically all I'm looking for is a chassis, motherboard, and a CPU w/ heat sink for a laptop. I heard Intel was doing something like this but I couldn't find out anything about it. Thanks.

I'm sure I'm not the only person who had no idea what a whitebook was, so here is a wiki:

Using "whitebox notebook" as key words. (google)
I had no idea it was called a whitebox. Some of those yummy Gateway notebooks should be sold as whitebox, or at least without the CPU. :D

well a white box computer would refer to a desktop and the answer to that would be www.newegg.com. But you can't find just those parts for a laptop.

He just gave me a good idea.. If I ever open up a DIY PC shop, I'd probably call it "White Box PC." Has a nice ring to it. It's better than "PC Buzz" like the store down the street.
