Why isn't their a quick launch icon on the system tray in vista for Nvidia control panel?

Its always been their for XP, but no Vista and i don't see a setting for it either.

One of the reasons i hated what they did to the NV CP... If AMD can do trey controls for CCC, i don't see any reason why NVIDIA cannot do the same. Too lazy? Most probably... It was one of my favorite features with NVIDIA cards. A very very fast way to control pretty much all features.

So its the being lazy of Nvidia or MS for not allowing it to exist? Doesn't suprise me the least.

I will see if i can modify the registry and add the values myself.

ATI CCC is garbage. Nvidia Control Panel is easy, simple to use and it doesn't take forever to load up.

There is a separate selection for the NV control panel when you right click on the desktop in Vista. I prefer that better than a quick launch button.

They used to have that way back when. None of the Vista drivers have it because they changed that around the 9x.xx drivers. XP doesn't have it either with the latest drivers.

If you want and quick tray icon, get NVTray. http://nvtweak.laptopvideo2go.com/
