Guys,

This is my rig

AMD64 6400 Black Edition 3.2Ghz dual core
Asus Crosshair AM2 590SLI
8GB PC2-8500 Dual Channal 1066Mhz

X-Fi Xtreme Gamer Fataiity Pro 64mb X-Ram
BFG PhysX Card
BFG OC2 8800GTX

Gaming 1920*1080 DVI-HDTV 1080p

Now ive just see the BFG OC 280 1GB and from what you all said the 280 is really good, do you reckon BFG will come out with a OC2 280 (more oc). I was also checking out overclocker website and i notice the 4870 are out inthe 512mb form, they seem ok, should i wait for the 4870x2 and maybe 280x2 (if they make one) or should i just grab a 280 now.

Dont get me wrong but i do love my 8800GTX, awesome card, what should i do.

Thanks all.

Depends on what you need to most of the given video card. you cant go wrong either ways. (280 or 4870 , unless you care about Crysis/video memory for high res+AA so much then 280)
& in the computer world : waiting is always good , but only if you have the patience!

(note : time to ditch that physx card because any GF8/9/200 will be able to do PhysX in GPU soon)

A 280 would be fast, but they're really recommended for 1920x1200 and up. Thats 11% more pixels then your 1920x1080 setup. In your situation, I'd go for the 4870 and upgrade that cpu and motherboard. Use the extra $350 to buy a E8400 or E8500 and a decent X38 DDR2 board. Otherwise, the 3.2GHz A64X2 is going to bottleneck the crap out of GPU. Also, you could add another 4870 in crossfire at some point.

At 1920x1080 the 4870X2 would really be overkill, and there's no need to wait for a BGF 280 OC2 if you really want a 280, you can simply OC yourself probably past its rated speeds.

I know what your saying about ditching my BFG physX card, on the newer cards that do it all togeather wouldnt that put more strain on the card doing graphics and physics.

I thought that if i let my newer graphics card handle graphics and physic card doing physic would be better since i have dedicated physics card.
