General principles

somewhat of a newbie question but do any wise ones want to share the basic principles of getting a win* game to run under linux as I am moving towards binning the evil corporations products all together but want to be able to relax playing something a little more taxing than tux racer.

I am quite open to being pointed towards an FAQ section if such a thing exists, just haven't found one yet.

Running SuSE 8.1 on athlon 2400+, 512mb, MSI mainboard, fx5200 64mb.

Theres a thing called Wine, that allows you to run windows programs under linux.

I really don't know much about the whole deal, other than I'll think about linux on tht fateful day when nForce drivers for it actually get features...supposedly they're workin on that
