I submit Dead Rising, getting survivors to climb the final step before they can be saved.

I've beaten the storyline and all of that quite a while, but I kind of felt like playing some more and maybe getting some of the achievements I don't have. Big mistake. While my current playthrough is easily by best ever (with the help of the real Mega Man gun), this single incredibly horrible bug has been ruining my fun.

Basically it's the one final step (a few feet high) that the AI has to climb before they can be saved. I can get past 1000 zombies, psychos with explosives, all sorts of crap, but a single step causes me to fail.

The game has a constant time limit so it's not like I can just wait around for the AI to figure it out. Just now I had 4 survivors following me (perfect so far), one climbs up relatively quickly, but the last 3 survivors are running into each other right at the base of the step. Nothing helps as my storyline time limit ticks ever closer to expiring. I go down several times to smack them around in various manners, throw non-dangerous items at them, call them and try sending them forward. Finally I press something wrong and blow one guy's head clean off with a single shot from a shotgun.

I vote that box pushing/kicking bit before the spikes come out in God of War. I dunno if it was just because I was playing on PS3, but I spent hours on that part before just managing to grab the ledge.

Every game has to have something like this. I don't think I've played one yet that didn't piss me off.

I picked up Devil may cry 4 a few days ago for the ps3, all though i like the game the camera angles can take much fun out of it. Very frustrating at times.

Oh yeah here's another one.
Conan for ps3/360 ... I enjoy this game, quite alot actually despite the crappy voise acting. Up untill the Boss fights in the last two acts. Damn damn damn they are hard and frustrating. The last one in particular, It's like 7 phases to that fight, and you die sooo easy there.

EDIT:
Hehe yeah I remember those steps in Dead rising... also quite annoying at times.

I hate all EA games because you can't skip the intros.

Every time I buy an EA game I trade it on the spot because I know I can't skip the intros.

You realise that's just boosting their sales figures, right?

Dead Rising - I'm going to say escorting in general... I love the basic premise and still think the game looks amazing, but I cannot stand the actual missions due to horrible escorting missions and terrible AI. Escorting is the worst, and they made it the core of the game.

Resident Evil 4 - The controls. I know everyone else loves the game, and I think I would too, but for a game that gets so fast paced in areas, and is all about shooting, WHY CAN'T I STRAFE???? Drives me nuts. I didn't mind the controls in the old games, which were slower paced, but in RE4 it kills me.

Lost Odyssey - Bosses are too ****ing hard.

Everything on Nintendo 64 - Why is everything so blurry?

I'm sure I'll think of more.

Any escort quest in any game drives me absolutely crazy. Escort quests are universally horrible.

and?? The Web Comic one??

If you are referring to that pic, it's from the short film Rejected, not a web comic...

I hate being timed in most games that have missions that are required to be completed within a time limit or its game over. I like taking my time and god I hate being rushed, some games do it well like Mass Effect where they give you a good amount of time to get to Tali when you first meet her.

Certain games that mix various genres as submission which are poorly exercuted or boring. The tank mission in Crysis, i found was unnessesarily annoying and came at a stage when i had become very adept (and buzzed) at dispensing of the baddies with the various guns and gadgets. Not ashamed to say, i used godmode to finish that section - I believe it is mission 5.

You didn't need to use the tank there, you could have hopped out and done it on foot. I did.

YES! Both Halo and Halo 3 had those terrible forced jeep races at the end... The first game's was tolerable, but 3's was a freakin' nightmare and a half.

I didn't have any problem actually beating warhog race part in Halo 1 or 3. On Legendary in 3 it's one of the easiest parts of the game.

Only problem is it's not really fun, and it's just about the ugliest part of the game too.

Oh yeah, they weren't hard really, just annoying. I played through 3 a second time in co-op with my best friend and he literally quit during the very end part, so annoyed was he with the mechanics of it.

As much as I love Zelda:PH, I bloody hate having to do the Temple of the Ocean King over and over. It's just feels like something that gets in the way of the rest of the game, almost like an unskippable cutscene if you know what I mean. >.<

Dead Rising was fun in the same way Echo the Dolphin was. The brutal slaughter and maiming of zombies while mall "elevator music" plays softly in the background. :)

Isn't only a one time thing (basically the introduction to the game)? I don't remember it being hard to beat the time that your forced to play the game.

MGS4 respawning enemies.

So, you want to use all those bad ass weapons in snakes arsenal and go rambo, huh? Well forget it. The enemies will just keep respawning. Blow up a chopper and another will take its place. Blow up the gekko in front of the hatch and another takes its place. Clear all the PMC's outside the mansion battle and more take their place. :(
