Looked like it had the same old type of slowdowns to me.
Looks exactly like Crysis. :|

It'll probably be $19.99 at either BestBuy or Circuit City on the release date.

Looked smooth up until the end there, and there are tons of pop ups and it looks like no af.
All in all, I can't wait for more.

Gotta agree. While it is alpha, it has me worried they're just blowing smoke up our asses.
Is this a standalone expansion?

Standalone
Decent price if the said game's length is accurate

seems a great value. Much more hours then a bluray movie for the same price almost.

Sweet, so it'll cost about the same price as any expansion pack. Now that wont blow a hole in my wallet.
Good thing about the price, dev costs are way down as they´re reusing most of the assets from Crysis, the game logic is all there already, they just have to build the map up on other parts of the island basicly, and add whatever gameplay mechanics they plan to add.
Its a good way of getting some more money out of the investment that went into the CryEngine 2.0 and all the assets in Crysis, meshes, textures, shaders etc.
Money that´ll go towards the next project.
Basicly what we´ve seen with HL2 and the episodes that followed.

The cost is not that great for a 8 hour game.:thumbdwn:
I'd rather pay $50 for a 20hour game.
Is it just me or POM is now working with AF in Warhead ? :drooling: :drooling:

Hmm... it looks like parallax mapping + AF may be working. Its hard to tell in those screens but it doesn't jump out at me as being blurry.
That'd be nice. :)

Agreed, the textures look quite sharp/detailed in the distance and POM is there as well. It would make sense to allow it since C:W has a larger performance budget if we can believe what has been reported.

Unreal, Doom1+2, maybe Halflife1, Hexen, Wheel of Time.
