Seeding torrents?

Guys, ive been trying to create & seed a torrent for some mates(personal home movie) ... so ... i click to create a torrent in utorrent(Ctrl & n) .... after the torrent is created i save it to desktop & leave the file i want to seed exactly where where it was when i created the torrent, now i uploaded the torrent on mininova & sent the torrent file to a mate via msn, he tried to start the torrent but said he got a error message saying unable to load trackers or torrent error! ... he cant download the torrent im seeding!

Also the little icon to the left of the torrent that is usually green when downloading & blue when uploading stays red!

Any ideas?

I believe you have to:

1.) Once you're done making the torrent file (saved to your desktop for example), you have to upload that one to the tracker.

2.) Once you have uploaded it to the tracker, you have to download the torrent file once more so you can load the tracker list from the actual torrent file.

Then again, I think your question would be better suited to their forums. ;)

have u enabled the embedded tracker? its under advanced settings i think
bt.enable_tracker: set to "true".
