I have a few related questions:

1. It seems that whenever I switch kernels, I have to reinstall the GeForce video driver, otherwise it complains. Since I often switch between coexisting kernels, this is a pain. Any workaround?

2. I have been trying to get ACPI work on my SN41 motherboard (nForce2, GeForce4 MX).
Had partial luck so far, one of the troubles is that if I patch the kernel with acpi-20021212-2.4.20.diff.gz then the graphics driver will go crazy (starting X would freeze the box completely). Have anybody experienced a similar problem?

I am using version 4349, maybe upgrading to 4363 would cure some of these?

Thanks,

Tamas

try:

the commandline option: pci=noacpi

and have a look into the 'nforce2 AGPgart and linux' thread. there are some useful hints around the nforce2...
