Hi,

I have:
AMD 3000+
Abit AT7-MAX2
Asus V9280 Geforce Ti 4200 8xAGP

I am new to install of NVIDIA drivers on Linux.
I did install latest version using NVIDIA-Linux-x86-4363.run. Real easy! Thanks.

However, I am unfamiliar with configuration of XF86Config. I believe I have to make some chances since my software does not work with error: Xlib: extension "GLX" missing on display ":0.0".
Executing command glxinfo gives:
"
name of display: :0.0
Xlib: extension "GLX" missing on display ":0.0".
Xlib: extension "GLX" missing on display ":0.0".

I'd greatly appreciate your help resolving this problem.

Thanks a lot.

Best Regards,
Dimi

Hi again,

I just figured one thing out...
and in config file I changed nv to nvidia.

Now, I get an NVIDIA error:
Failed to initialze kernel module.

Since I used the latest script I think I installed the right driver. Device files are also present.

Any ideas?
Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Dimi.

just bumped into a message I missed earlier...

Stupid me!!

I forgot to reinstall NVIDIA drivers after updating my Redhat kernel.

Problem solved!
