EVGA ditching nVidia?

1. Marketing person with Intel for Larrabee project
2. Marketing dude from Palit (they make ATI and Nvidia cards and will probably make Intel)
3. My Nvidia rep (he sat in group DB at PDXLAN)

I can't go into details but there is going to really be some drama in 2009 ;)

How dumb is it for Charlie/INQ to say that EVGA is ditching NVIDIA. That must be the dumbest piece of news I've ever seen. To literally ditch them would mean to move completely over from NVIDIA to another company. That is an insanely stupid thing to do. It might make sense to open themselves up to other companies, but to just stop carrying NV cards would be a colossal mistake imo.

You're quite possibly the most biased person I've ever met. In Guru3D's preview the HD 48970X2 soundly spanked the GTX280 in every single test they ran... which was only about 4-5 different games. Yet they also mentioned that they tried a large selection of other titles not mentioned in the preview and the results were very similar. The 4870X2 frikken rocks and owns anything else out right now. In GRID it was 100% faster than the GTX280... that is two times as fast. lol
Yeah, it's 100% faster in GRID, but they also mentioned lots of stuttering there. Looks like microstuttering may still be an issue with a multi-GPU card. And about the bolded part, that is probably true, except Crysis.

Also why doesn't EVGA also offer ATI video card ? I mean MB manufacutrer offer both chipset Intel and AMD, both video card nvidia and ATI... Why EVGA couldn't do the same ?
