Well I just ordered one. But ground shipping (free) so it will be a week before I find out if it's real. Everything including most importantly, the sales receipt, says GTX280 1GB so as far as I am concerned that's what they owe me. That price is, as mentioned already, incredible.
My question now is do I keep the $500 one I have in RMA transit (grr!) with NewEgg, return it minus 15%, or return it and order another one for $308? Most likely if they still are selling this cheap next week, and in stock, I'll just get another one.
Guess I should start saving up for the 30" display to justfy 280's in SLi (talk about overkill on the 24").

I wasn't willing to wait so I called them. Sales rep put me on hold to talk to the supervisor and said "we were going to contact you and inform you that the price was incorrect. The correct price is $450"
